FC SoHo to join TLFC in 2027

The League for Clubs (TLFC) is excited to announce the addition of FC Soho for the upcoming 2027 season.

Based in New York City, FC Soho is partnered with the Brooklyn United Academy youth program, which is led by Long Island University head coach Nate Bell and LIU assistant coach Kemar Johnson. The club will make its official debut on the pitch in 2027, with a women's team scheduled to be launched in 2028.

Sammy Daoud will coach FC Soho; he currently scouts for NYCFC and previously coached Brooklyn Italians for four seasons.

“We are looking forward to competing in The League for Clubs,” said Club Director Gaba Romanovich. “The high-level competition the league provides in New York City and the East Region has us excited for the upcoming season. We look forward to competing and collaborating with TLFC in 2027 and beyond.”

Three clubs from New York competed in the inaugural TLFC season in 2025, with Met Oval Academy (Queens) winning the first ever National Championship. The 2026 season saw five clubs compete from New York, with Met Oval Academy advancing to the National Semifinals.

FC Soho will play its home matches at the LIU Brooklyn Soccer Field and will compete in the East Region in 2027. Full conference and regional alignment is expected to be announced around the first of the year.
