Eleven players from five different NorCal clubs were named today to the NorCal Conference's Week 5 Team of the Week. All eleven players earned their first TOTW honors of 2026 with standout performances in last weekend's action.
CF San Rafael, who earned their first three points of the season, led the way with four players on this week's team. Forward Edenilson Blanco scored both of San Rafael's goals in the 2-1 win over Fuego U23. Aslinn Rodas stood out in central midfield for the home club. San Rafael was also anchored in their win by their two center backs, Rio Suendermann and Juan Bonilla, who helped hold Fuego at bay as San Rafael completed the comeback win.
Three players from Napa Valley 1839 FC made this week's team, led by Storm Hollensted, who supplied a goal and an assist in the 2-0 win over Afghan Premier FC. The recipient of Hollensted's first assist, Chris Mendez-Lemus, also makes the team, as does goalkeeper Javi Valdez, who kept the clean sheet.
Afghan Premier FC had two players honored, Eamon Fakhri in midfield and Anthony Moran in defense both kept the visitors in the match until Hollensted's stoppage-time goal sealed the Napa win.
The final two players on the Week 5 TOTW are Jesus Zamora, who scored Fuego's lone goal on Saturday, and 17-year old Micah Hoese from Sonoma County Sol FC. Hoese came on as a sub in Sonoma's loss to San Ramon FC and had a goal-line clearance as a part of his contribution.
