Week 2 NorCal Team of the Week Named

March 26, 2026

The second Team of the Week for the 2026 season has been released in the NorCal Conference.

This week's TOTW goalkeeper is Jesus Rangel (Oakland SC). Rangel allowed only one goal last Saturday, an own goal that came from a wicked deflection in a 1-1 draw against FC Davis.

Alexis Garcia-Ayala (FC Davis) makes his second TOTW appearance in a back four that includes players from four different clubs. Ayala is joined by Amir Bere (Oakland SC), who supplied the assist that led to an 82nd-minute match-tying goal, Gera Mendoza (Napa Valley 1839 FC) and Johnny Villeda (CF San Rafael).

Another return player to TOTW is Yuba FC midfielder Omar Raya. Raya makes up half of a 2-man midfield in this week's team. He is joined by JP Herrera (FC Davis).

Four forwards are honored this week. Three of them scored goals last weekend. The one that didn't score a goal was Stiven Barrera (Albion SC Silicon Valley). Barrera may not have found the back of the net (he did in Week 1), but he was instrumental on the wing in Albion's 4-0 win over Yuba FC. Ryan Dieter was the only multi-goal scorer in NorCal on Saturday, bagging a brace in Napa Valley 1839 FC's 2-1 win over San Rafael. Gamal Compaore makes TOTW for the second straight week, scoring again on a header, this time to rescue a point for Oakland in the 82nd minute. The final forward honored this week is Allan Estrada (CF San Rafael). Estrada's chipped finish to momentarily even the score with Napa Valley was arguably the goal of the weekend.

Other players considered
Daniel Jebri - FC Davis
Juan Bonilla - CF San Rafael
