The League for Clubs (TLFC) is pleased to announce a partnership with the Upstate Premier League (UPL), a grassroots amateur league based in The Capital Region of Upstate New York.
The UPL completed its inaugural season in 2026. The competition featured six clubs, with Spindles United (Cohoes, NY) winning the first ever UPL Cup.
“The Upstate Premier League is thrilled to partner with The League for Clubs following the success of our 2026 inaugural season,” said UPL Admin Jarron Frangie. “We are confident that our shared values and vision will contribute to the growth of the grassroots game, both locally and globally.”
The UPL partnership is the fifth regional league partnership for The League for Clubs (Gulf Coast Premier League, Midwest Premier League, Mountain Premier League, Metroplex Premier League).
“All of us at TLFC are excited about this partnership with the Upstate Premier League,” said TLFC Commissioner Casey Cantor. “We are impressed with the way the UPL operated in its inaugural season and look forward to collaborating with, learning from and growing alongside them in the years to come as we work together to improve the soccer landscape at the grassroots and amateur levels.”
