The League for Clubs (TLfC) is excited to announce the addition of SUSA FC Long Island for the 2026 season.
Founded in 2001, SUSA FC Long Island has solidified itself as one of the most robust and successful youth programs in the Northeast. The club has 90 academy teams, five affiliate clubs, serves over 5000 players and plays in the Elite Club National League (ECNL).
“As a club, we are extremely excited to be joining The League for Clubs. This represents a major step forward for soccer in Suffolk County, New York, and a significant opportunity for our community,” said James Kelsh, SUSA Director of Operations.
“The league will provide our college alumni, current youth players, and emerging local talent a clear pathway to compete at an elite level, continue their development, and prepare for the next stage of their careers within the game. We believe this platform will raise the standard of play, strengthen player pathways, and further our commitment to long-term growth and excellence.”
SUSA FC Long Island will play its home matches at the SUSA Orlin & Cohen Sports Complex in Central Islip, NY. The state-of-the-art complex features five full-sized fields and an indoor training facility.
In the last five years, the club has seen over 200 of its former boys players commit to play college soccer, including three All-Americans in 2025 — Brayden O’Boyle (committed to Iona), Diego Argueta (committed to Long Island University) and Jack Dorsey (committed to Union College).
SUSA also boasts a successful girls academy and has a team that plays in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) in the summer. The club plays in the Metropolitan Conference alongside fellow TLfC & WPSL club Brooklyn City F.C.
SUSA FC Long Island will play in the East Region. Full 2026 TLfC conference alignment will be announced in the coming days.
