Sowegans SC was founded in 2023 and has competed in the Gulf Coast Premier League’s East Division, finishing at the top of the table in 2024. The club prides itself on representing Southwest Georgia (SOWEGA), both on and off the pitch. Sowegans will play their home matches at Lee County Soccer Complex, located in Leesburg, GA.

Sowegans SC is the first team from The League’s recently-announced partnership with the Gulf Coast Premier League to be unveiled as competing in The League’s Gulf Coast Conference in 2025. More announcements will happen to fill out this conference in the near future.
