The first Team of the Week for the Northeast Conference in 2026 was announced today with six of the nine teams in action last week represented in the squad.
Kingston Stockade FC led the way with three players honored for their performances in a 3-0 win over Real Central NJ last Saturday. Forward Paddy Cuneo (two assists), midfielder Jonathan Salguero (goal & assist) and goalkeeper Matt D'Ippolito were vital in the road victory.
FC Monmouth's attacking prowess continued last Friday as Lenny Aviles scored two goals and supplied an assist in the 7-2 win at First State FC. Eric Sadlocha, a consistent rock in defense was also honored on this week's team.
Defending national champs Met Oval Academy picked up right where they left off with a 3-0 win over Brooklyn City F.C. Two defenders make this week's team after supplying assists on the three goals: TJ Bernhard (assist) and Nelson Reynoso (two assists).
Atlantic City FC got out of the gates with a 3-0 win over FC Monmouth on Thursday night. The first goal of the night was scored on a sublime free kick finish from Uche Wokocha. Left back Luke McNamee was also crucial for the Aces both in attack and defense.
The final two players to be honored this week are Excelsior New York's Giuseppe Barone and Real Central NJ's Nathan Linden. Excelsior came away with a point in a 0-0 draw with SUSA FC Long Island. Meanwhile, Linden was the standout performer for RCNJ in their loss to Stockade FC.
