Based out of Emporia, Kansas, Emporia FC has played home matches at both Francis G. Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University and Emporia High School. Founded in 2022, the club has built a diverse and talented roster featuring players from all across the United States and all around the world. With a commitment to inclusivity and excellence, Emporia FC has already had several former players sign professional contracts both domestically and abroad.
“Emporia FC was founded on belief — the belief that a community of hard-working people could create something extraordinary. From hosting international players under the lights of Welch Stadium to watching our own graduates sign professional contracts, our journey has always been about opportunity, culture and pride,” said Victor Ibarra, President and Owner of Emporia FC. “Joining The League for Clubs is a defining step forward, not just for our organization, but for every fan, volunteer and youth player who has believed in what we’re building here in Kansas. We are honored to represent Emporia on the national stage and continue to grow a club that inspires the next generation.”
Alongside its first team, Emporia FC operates a thriving academy of over 100 youth players across Emporia and Southeast Kansas. The club’s academy emphasizes affordability, education and opportunity for every family.
Emporia FC is expected to compete in TLfC’s Central Region, although official conference and region alignment will be announced at a later date. The club will join FC Wichita as the second team that is based in Kansas to be confirmed for TLfC’s 2026 season. Emporia FC last competed in the UPSL’s Midwest South Conference in the Spring of 2025.
