UNT's Norma Knobel Hunt Stadium to host 2026 TLfC National Finals

July 6, 2026

The League for Clubs (TLfC) is excited to officially release the details of the 2026 postseason, including the dates, times, and location of the National Finals.

For the second season in a row, the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area will host the National Finals. This year’s event will be staged at Norma Knobel Hunt Stadium, located on the campus of the University of North Texas in Denton.

“We are so happy to have a great partner like the University of North Texas and honored to be able to play our National Finals at such a great facility,” said TLfC Commissioner Casey Cantor. “Norma Knobel Hunt Stadium, UNT, and the city of Denton will offer our players, coaches, staff, and fans a great atmosphere to create lasting memories in a quality environment. We look forward to hosting the four clubs that qualify and can’t wait to crown our 2026 TLfC Champion.”

The 1,500-seat stadium features chairback and covered seating for fans, as well as four locker rooms, a training room, and a soccer-specific grass pitch. The facility officially opened in 2019.

The semifinal matches will be held on Friday, July 24, at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. CT. The winners of the two semifinal matches will play for the 2026 TLfC National Championship on Sunday, July 26, at 7:00 p.m. CT.

In January, the stadium was named after the late Norma Knobel Hunt. Hunt was a 1960 UNT graduate and an active part of one of the most influential families in American soccer. Her husband, Lamar Hunt Sr., was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1982, and the U.S. Open Cup bears his name in his honor.

Lamar and Norma Hunt had four children, all of whom continue the family’s soccer legacy as owners of FC Dallas, with Dan Hunt serving as the club’s president.

The four teams that compete in the National Finals will come from four regions: West, Central, South, and East.

The West Region will be represented by the NorCal Conference postseason champion. The eight-team postseason tournament began on June 20, and the NorCal Conference Final will be played on July 11, when San Ramon FC hosts Iron Rose FC. The winner of that match will advance to the National Finals.

The Central Region will be represented by a club from either the Mid-American or Red River Conference.

In the Mid-American Conference, two clubs make the playoffs. Conference regular season winner Evolution U23 will host the Conference Final against second place Tulsa Athletic on Sunday, July 12 at 7:00 p.m. CT.

In the Red River Conference, four clubs make the playoffs. No. 1 seed Oklahoma United will host No. 4 seed Foro SC on Thursday, July 9, and No. 2 seed FC Dallas U23s will host No. 3 seed Central Dallas FC on Wednesday, July 8. The winners will play on the weekend of July 11–12 (higher seed hosting) in the Conference Final.

The winners of the Mid-American and Red River Conferences will play on the weekend of July 18–19 in the Central Region Final. The club with the most regular-season points will host the match, and the winner will advance to the National Finals.

The South Region will be represented by a club from either the South Texas or Gulf Coast Conference.

In the South Texas Conference, four clubs make the playoffs. No. 1 seed Capital City SC will host No. 4 seed Central Texas Coyotes FC in one semifinal, and No. 2 seed RGV Red Crowns SC will host No. 3 seed BTX Soccer Club in the other. Both matches are scheduled for Wednesday, July 8. The winners will play on the weekend of July 11–12 (higher seed hosting) in the Conference Final.

In the Gulf Coast Conference, four clubs make the playoffs. The top two clubs in each division will play in the Division Finals on Wednesday, July 8. Union 10 FC will host Gaffa FC in the West Division Final, and Pensacola FC will host Tallahassee SC in the East Division Final. The winners will play on the weekend of July 11–12 in the Conference Final, and the team with the most regular-season points will host.

The winners of the South Texas and Gulf Coast Conferences will play on the weekend of July 18–19 in the South Region Final. The club with the most regular-season points will host the match, and the winner will advance to the National Finals.

The East Region will be represented by the winner of the Northeast Conference. The top two clubs in each division will play in a Division Final on July 14–16. Seeding for the Divisional Finals are based on the eight regular-season matches played within each division. In the North Division, Kingston Stockade FC will host Met Oval Academy on Wednesday, July 15. In the South Division, First State FC will play Atlantic City FC (host, date and time TBD).

The winners of the two Division Finals will play each other in the Northeast Conference Final on the weekend of July 18–19. The club with the most regular-season points across the full 10-match conference schedule will host the Conference Final. The winner of the Northeast Conference Final will advance to the National Finals.

The bracket for the National Finals will be determined by a random draw and announced on Monday, July 20. All playoff matches will be streamed on TLfC’s YouTube channel, including all three matches from the National Finals.
